RETROMAT

A digital booth, the analog way.

Retromat

A new take on an old classic

Retromat brings the character of a classic photobooth into a modern setting.

Designed and built in northern Portugal, each booth combines carefully chosen materials, durable construction and straightforward technology.

Built locally. Made to last. Made for real moments.

Our booths

Meet the booths

Three expressions of the same Retromat idea.

01

The Classic

The original Retromat.

Finished in embossed aluminium with a deep red curtain, The Classic combines robust construction with the familiar character of a traditional photobooth.

02

The Silver

Inspired by photobooths from the 1960s, The Silver uses raw aluminium, clean lines and a simple finish. It has an industrial character that works naturally in contemporary spaces.

03

The Mirror

The most expressive Retromat.

Mirrored panels, a leopard curtain and a zebra backdrop give The Mirror a distinct character. It is designed for venues and events that want something visually different.

Crafted close to home

Made in Portugal. Proud of it.

Designed, built and assembled in Portugal.

Every Retromat is built by our team using materials selected for repeated use. We work with local workshops and suppliers across metalwork, carpentry, electronics and finishing.

Most of the design and assembly happens in our own workshop, which means we can maintain, adapt and improve each booth over time.

The aim is simple. Build a booth that looks distinctive, works reliably and is made to last.

Bring Retromat to your event

A photobooth people want to use.

Retromat is available for weddings, private parties, company events and brand activations.

We deliver the booth, install it and collect it afterwards. During the event, we make sure everything works as it should.

Choose an existing Retromat or talk to us about adapting the experience to your event, venue or brand.

Guests step in, take a real photograph and leave with a printed strip.

For venues

Retromat for your venue

Add a distinctive experience and a new revenue stream without adding work for your team.

Retromat can be installed in bars, hotels, cultural spaces, shopping centres and event venues.

We handle the booth, payments, maintenance and technical support. Your team provides the space and we operate the experience.

Each installation can be adapted to the location, brand and audience.

Guests leave with a physical photograph and the venue gains an attraction that can generate revenue.

The people behind it

The story behind Retromat

Meet Kika and Jan.

Retromat started from a shared interest in photography, printed images and old photobooths.

After seeing booths while travelling, we decided to build one ourselves in Portugal.
